Posted on Facebook

I posted my address on Facebook a little nervous having it out there!

I leave in 101 days! Yikes!!!

First things for Ghana

My friend in Cloudcroft brought me my first items for Ghana.  She gave me a wrap that can be worn as a skirt, dress or even a robe.  Very pretty in black and white with a fringe, also very light.  Also, she gave me a flint to start a fire and small camping can openers. She gave me one of her fans she got in China it is beautiful and I can see using it all the time.  Ready to get started.  Going to try and get on live though I feel that September will be when I start posting.

I have been reading a facebook blog on those that are in Ghana now some from June 2011 back a couple of years.  Lots of great information.  Till the next time.......

Finishing up paper work

Finishing up paper work.  Got Visa and No Fee Passport info UPS on Friday.
Since I do not have word here in the Mts with me I worked at the library with the librarian for over an hour so figure out out to sent my updated Resume and Aspiration letter in word form.  My project tomorrow.

Had to stop and go to the Cherry Festival today - great cherry pie made it in the truck as well as some cherry jam.  Hopefully, lazy morning tomorrow and then finish up my papers.  This has been a Peace Corps filled "vacation".

Have been able to get on Peace Corps/Ghana and got some updated information.  I get more excited everytime I read what they are doing there.
Have a wonderful Father's Day tomorrow.

I am official!!!

I got my packet with my letter of invitation.  I am going to GHANA.  I am
so excited.  I leave on October 4, 2011.  I am in the process of doing passport info, updating resume and ANOTHER essay to be sent to my Country officials.

The countries official language is English which is such a relief.  I will have to start learn Twi ASAP so maybe I can be one step ahead when I get there.
I won't know my job until I get there but my title is still Business Advisor.

I am just learning this bloging thing so bear with me.  I really want to keep all my family and friends up with my adventures while I am gone.
